A seminar and business meeting organized by Indonesian National Board for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Overseas Workers (NBP2IOW/BNP2TKI) which supported by Indonesian Representatives to Malaysia. This meeting will be attended by Indonesian Representatives to Malaysia, Employment Agencies from Indonesia and Malaysia, Related Government Bodies, as well as various training centres and profesion associations.

The main objective of this business meeting is to match the current market situation of human resource through bilateral cooperation of the respective countries. Furthermore, both senders and users would be able to direct negotiate an agreement on the recruitment and placement of prospective Indonesian Overseas Workers to the fruitful regions in Malaysia.

The mentioned seminar and business meeting will be held at Jayakarta Hotel & Residence in Bali, 6 – 9 April 2010. Please note that all of participants will have to bear their own air-fare or land-fare transportation, hotel accommodation and the package meeting.

1. Introduction

Malaysia has been widely known as a very fruitful destination country for the Indonesian Migrant Workers. Historically, millions of informal workers from Indonesia work in plantation, construction and domestic worker. This year 2010, it would be the third term for the Indonesian National Board for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Overseas Workers (NBP2IOW/BNP2TKI) to organize a human resource business meeting which supported by Indonesian Representatives to Malaysia and Migrant Worker Agencies. This meeting will be attended by employment agencies from Indonesia and Malaysia as well as profesion associations.

The main objective of this meeting is to share and discuss the current market situation of the respective countries. Furthermore, both senders and users would be able to direct negotiate an agreement on the recruitment and placement of prospective Indonesian Overseas Workers to the fruitful regions in Malaysia.

Our expectaction is to increase the number of skill and profesional Indonesia Overseas Workers working in Malaysia by strengthening networking among the agencies and enhancing bilateral cooperation among the respective governments.

2. Seminar AND Discussion Program

The main agenda of the meeting is to be a fruitful medium where Indonesian Representatives to Malaysia and Agencies discuss and negotiate about manpower supplies on the placement of prospective Indonesian Overseas Workers for the Malaysian market. In case to meet the achievement of both sides, the organizing committee of NBP2IOW offers a 2 (two) days seminar and business meeting as attached in Annex 2.

Proposed subjects of seminars and discussions are as follows:

Subject 1 Working Opportunities of Formal Sector in Malaysia
Speakers Embassy of Indonesia at KL, Indonesian General Consulates of Johor Bahru, Penang, Kuching and Sabah.
Subject 2 Working Opportunities for Sector Formal in Malaysia
Speakers Co-Agencies from Malaysia

Field visit to related agencies or institutions would be arranged by the Organizing Committee based on the potential employer request [optional].

Building construction demands lots of workers both from qualification and number.
